Als Kind sah ich überhaupt keinen Sinn in Schneeballschlachten, das war nur mühsam, tat weh und man wurde dreckig, blöde Typen zwangen einen zur Wahl, wegzurennen oder sich zu bücken, um Schnee aufzuheben, meine Mutter sagte immer, die wollen ja nur anbändeln, das fand ich dann noch unnötiger, und man wundere sich nicht, dass ich das gefundene Opfer war, die Horden warteten gerne auf mich, ich verlegte mich dann darauf, so weiterzulaufen, als hätte mich nichts getroffen, ich mach das immer noch so, aber weinen muss man dabei manchmal trotzdem.
Später begannen die Jungs dann, einen auf den Boden zu werfen, einzuseifen und Schnee unter den Pullover zu stopfen, und man tat so, als würde man sich wehren, seitdem steh ich drauf, halbnackt und zappelnd im Schnee unter einem Mann zu liegen, Schneebälle finde ich immer noch total überflüssig, aber wahrscheinlich liegt das nur an meiner Prinzipientreue.

Wie dem auch sei, es war kein Schuldgefühl, das mich überkam. Ein derartiges Gefühl ist lediglich abgeleitet, stellvertretend. Ihm geht die nackte Angst des Lebens voraus: die Angst, aufgrund eines unwiderruflichen Zufalls aus dem Nichts geboren zu sein.
